Creole continuing education

In our continuing efforts to learn Creole, we have tried a variety of methods: Haiti nights with random vocabulary lessons, ipad apps, books, as well as scripture memory. As you can see below, the last one seems to have caught on, especially with the girls (who know this much better than either Luke or me).

  1. You precious punkins! I just love you all to pieces :) Hugs from Aunt Eda

  2. Love. What a precious way to hear the Lord's word this morning. Happy studying!

  3. Love the kids! Saw an update on FB from ReachGlobal on you all. We are also the Thompsons serving in Haiti! I actually grew up in an EFCA church. I was a pastor at a Free church in the NW suburbs of Chicago. I got my Masters at TEDS there in Chicago. Love the free church!

My family and I have been here in Cayes, Haiti for a little over a year and a half now. You will be amazed at how quickly your kids learn Creole once they are here rubbing shoulders with Creole speakers. Our 6 year, lacks some vocabulary for sure, but I would say he is fluent! It has been amazing to watch.

If you ever have any questions about life and ministry in Haiti, feel free to reach out to us. We would love to be a resource for you. or

Excited to hear the Free church is on the move in Haiti.

  4. Excellent. Looks like you've got a couple of little Teresas on your hands there. (You and Luke can hang in the back of the class with me.)
